KavijPen, rectangle, and circle: precise manual selection arrives
Automatic removal handles the vast majority of images beautifully, but every now and then a busy background or a low-contrast edge leaves something behind. For those moments, Kavij now includes three manual selection tools that work alongside the brushes.
Freeform and geometric
The pen tool lets you drop points around any region to trace an irregular shape — ideal for organic outlines. The rectangle and circle tools are faster when the area you want is roughly boxy or round: drag to draw, then fine-tune with the handles or drag from the middle to reposition.
Two ways to apply
Every selection offers the same two choices. Erase inside clears whatever sits within your shape, perfect for wiping out a patch of leftover background. Keep only this does the opposite, making everything outside the selection transparent — a quick rescue when detection missed the subject entirely.
Because each action flows through the same history stack as the brushes, a single Ctrl+Z reverses it. Experiment freely; nothing is destructive.
